I used to really enjoy writing, it was therapeutic I guess but now I find that I rarely do it and I don't really know why. I mean, I guess it is because spare time is hard to find, but really how many nonsensical things do we find time for everyday. So it has become my new mission to find time to do this for me and for others to create a community of people growing in faith and living through the obstacles of life.
This year has been a rollercoaster for our family and often I found myself looking for others for counsel, information, fellowship etc., and while the people within my own community are great, there are times when they just don't understand... Who can understand the struggles of living a faithful life then others living that life? Who can better understand confusion, fear etc., that comes from living with a loved one with a progressive disease, then someone else living that same fate? Who else can sympathize with the endless laundry, and the overwhelming feeling of being a mom to young ones then another mom?
While there is a huge community all around us with similar situations, sometimes it is hard to find that someone that just gets you! We all need community and support, but sometimes, even though they mean well, the people around us everyday just don't get it or just don't have the time! Sometimes what we need is an unbiased party, who has been or is right where we are. We need them to lend an ear or share their story, to help us to find the courage and hope we need to press on.
I hope that my story and our life can be uplifting, encouraging and informative to someone out there and I hope that together we can help encourage each other and make life's struggles just a little easier to navigate!
God bless everyone and until next time....
Amy
